What's Joodo?

Joodo is a next-generation p2p application for organizing and sharing your data between your network of friends and family.Joodo is a next-generation p2p app that helps you organize, search, and easily share your information with trusted friends. Some people think of it as hybrid web/desktop app for sharing files. Some people think of it as a decentralized social network. We would like to think we are building a new effective and efficient way to organize, share, and search for data in a decentralized network that you control.

Organization

Joodo allows you to organize your media into modules for your photos, videos, etc. You can then tag and describe this media for easy identification. In the photo module for instance, you can organize your photos by carousel, grid, mosaic, slideshow, and by folders so that you have multiple ways to navigate your photo collection.

Search

Want to find those photos from your last vacation to Italy with your family, but you don't have them on your computer? Do a search for Italy and you will find the photos on your family or friend's computer by doing a p2p search. You can then download them if that user has given download permission. This p2p search only searches your accepted and trusted friends in your network.Thus you can find the items you need quickly and effectively.

Sharing

This is where the application becomes beautiful. When your friends joins your p2p network, you have an easy means of sharing information with them. Have some photos from your recent vacation that you want to share? Drag and drop the files to an individual or a group of your friends, and that's it? The files will begin to transfer without any additional effort. There is no need to zip and attach in several emails. There is no need to upload them online somewhere, organize them again and then send a download link.

If you want to send files to someone who doesn't have the joodo app, just send them a Joodo package. They can then download a small .joodo file when they download the joodo app and receive your package. Joodo makes sharing large files easy.

Joodo has a plethora of functionality waiting to be utilized. We also have an aggressive list of features and functionality for future releases such as auto-organization and classification of data, attention management, recomendations based on personal usage and your network's usage history, and many more things!
